Restoran Saba, Cyberjaya, Middle Eastern Cuisine

I've heard all good review of this famous eating place so many times from my friends and also my brother. A few days ago, we had the chance to really prove the stories about this famous restaurant...:) Bukanlah jaoh sangat dari rumah, tp cuma masa tu aja yg x da nak ke sana.

The location is in Cyberjaya. GPS Coordinate: N2 55.370 E101 39.072

It was drizzling when we arrived. Parking was a bit of a problem here. Not enough parking space to accomodate the number of customers coming... When we stepped into the restaurant, mak aih... ramai betul orang! In my heart, i told myself, "Sure lambat dapat food".

Very bz but they have a lot of workers

Tengah pilih2

The Menu
But, to my surprise the food arrived very fast. X payah tunggu lama. In fact, the food arrived before the drinks..keh..keh.. So, let's check out the food we ordered:

Chicken Falafel = RM5

Nasi Arab with 1/2 chicken (Roasted). Hidangan utk 2 org..Lupa plak harga,
dlm rm15 ke, rm17, mcm tu la....
Sama mcm 1/2 roasted chicken tp yg nih 1/2 grilled chicken. Grill atas charcoal.
Ni kari die..FOC..Ambik sendiri kat opposite kaunter pembayaran
Cili..Ala2 sambal belacan. Beshh!
Tempat nak ambik curry
One thing i noticed here, food memang murah but the drinks are a bit expensive. For example, watermelon juice is about rm8.
Desert counter. Caramel = RM5
Bila nak byr, just show the card to the cahsier. U'll get the bill straight away!
Cashier counter
Overall, highly recommended! Not only the food is tasty but the price is very2 affordable. And for me, most importantly, the food must be served together and fast. I'm planning my 2nd visit in the very near future...hi..hi..

Gambar dari luar. Since we went at night and it was raining, so the pics were
a bit dark
P/s: Kalau nak bawak tetamu yg berkunjung ke rumah datang ke sini pon ok jugak...!

Kuala Kangsar Public Pool

CNY and no plan in mind...That was very unliked me! That's right, i had promised my hubby to return to his hometown during the long CNY break... Long holidays = long jam.... 1st plan, Penang: cancel pasal jalan jam. 2nd plan: Lata2 yang terdapat di sekitar kampung (Lata Perahu, Iskandar dll), cancel jugak coz musim hujan...not safe for the kids. At last,  my hubby suggested taking the kids to the public pool at Kuala Kangsar. I don't even know such place exists until he brought me there.
 Lifeguard

You just have to take the route to the Kuala Kangsar Palace at Bukit Chandan. Memang cantik kawasan kat situ... Maklumlah kawasan istana. Rest house pon ada... Pusing2 Istana kat Bukit Candan dulu, then baru ke Swimming pool. When u see the signage to the library, u enter the road, dalam sikit, u'll see the pool.

Pintu masuk depan kaunter bayaran

Tix counter. Even though u don't swim, but u still have to pay.
Ala2 per entry gamaknya

Dewasa rm2, kanak2 rm1 aja. 5 thn ke bawah, FREE

Kids wading pool: Ala2 KLCC
Ni yg Olympic sizenyer..keh..keh...
Ada gazebo kat ujung sana.
From another angle
Farah waiting for her turn
Weeeeee......eeeee.....
Farah!
Faris's turn
Mushrooms

Antara facilities yang terdapat di sini:

Locker: RM1

Bilik Persalinan

Cafe with dining tables.

To swim at the wading pool, any appropriate attires will do but to swim at the bigger size pool, u need a proper swimming attire aka swmming suits. The guard won't allow you into the big swimming pool if u do not wear swimming suits.

OKlah tempat ni, untuk bawak budak2 berhappy2 time sesak2 x da hala tuju... My kids had so much fun with very minimal budget... he..he...So, if u happened to be around the corner and got nothing to do,  bolehlah berekreasi di sini.

Nk balik dah, My children's happy faces!
Tomorrow we're going back to KL.   The kids & i still have until Sunday for the hols but poor papa needs to work already...Off To Work

P/S:  Lain kali nak lawat galeri dan istana pulakla..nampak mcm menarik aja...

My Europe Trip on the Shoestring: Basel (Part 1)

"Basel is Switzerland's 2nd biggest economic centre after Zurich. A small state at the borders of France, Germany & Switzerland". However, it is considered as a part of Swiss. "

Kami sampai Basel dah petang. So, from the train station, we took the tram to the hotel. We had booked Easy Hotel Basel. We took tram no 2 and stopped at Messaplatz. Jalan sikit, u'll see the hotel.

Basel Bahnhof SBB
This is where people wait for the tram when they arrive with the train.
Tram station
In Basel, if u stay in any of the hotels, you will get free public transportation for the rest of your stay. Just chop yr 1st ticket at the hotel and show it to the driver. Pegikla mana nak p, free aja. Alah, lagik pon Basel ni pekan kecik aja. Very peaceful and harmony...

Adjacent to our hotel
Our hotel from the outside. Very pleasant staff.
Our cozy lil room. Bigger than EasyHotel London. I was very impressed
with this room, no flaws! I remembered watching CSI Miami in French...
From the hotel, if u walk about 400m, u will see a continental grocery shop. Banyakla makanan segara halal jual kat situ. And, if u cross the road, u will see a few halal restaurants. Actually, there are plenty of halal restaurants in Basel. memang takkan kelaparan kalau ke sana.
Dinner..Tu dia, besar gedabak sampai terkeluar2...keh..keh...

My Europe Trip on the Shoestring: Continuing our journey (Luxembourg)

The next morning (i really lost count of the days), we checked out and caught a train to Basel. Why Basel? No specific reasons. But part of it because of the Easyjet promo. So, the train departed Brussels midi at 10 am. 6 hours train ride...Under normal circumstances, it seems so long but for me, i didn't even notice the time. I was so engrossed in scrutinizing the scenery, 6 hours seemed so fast. At first, my route was to Milan but after listing some reasonings, i decided to re-route to Basel.
Brussels Midi

One of the small stations

In the train, very cozy...

Sheep everywhere

After halfway, we stopped for lunch and quick sightseeing at Luxemborg, the smallest countries in EU.

View from the train station

Still a lot of bikes!

Bangunannya unik2
Opposite the train station, there's a muslim restaurant owned by a Lebanese man (if i'm not mistaken). The food was ok and the price was fine too.

Kebab and beef apa ntah with fanta & ice lemon tea
Hajat hati mula2 nak naik hop on hop off Lux for a quick view of the place but we arrived there a bit late. So, we cancelled our plan and just 'ronda2' at the area nearby and belik souvenirs at the souvenir shops along the lane. Negara ni nampak mcm aman-damai aja... Ala2 kampong dekat UK plak sekalik tengok. After a few hours there, we all walked back to the train station to catch the train to Basel. X banyak tangkap gambar kat sini, pasal nak kejar masa belik2 barang, jalan2 sikit dan teros ke train station semula.

Waiting for the next train to Basel. Kecik aja stationnya.

The best naan in town!

Hi again! For me, This place is a compulsory venue to stop by while I'm in Penang. Why? Because of its one and only ever delicious Cheeeesssseeee Nan and chicken tandoori... Marvelous! U can't get this anywhere except at Kapitan Penang. I've been to the one Lebuh Chulia (near Kapitan Keling Mosque) and another one is near Queensbay Mall @ Queensbay. Similar taste! Not only that the restaurants serve the best nan in town but the price is also cheap compared to the ones in KL.

Besides naan and tandoori, the claypot briyani is also worth trying...nyum..nyum...[i'm drooling while writing Drooling]...

The freshly clay oven  baked cheese naan & the roasted chicken tandoori.
 Look at the melted cheese...

RM8 per set. Comes with condiments  (Teh tarik is excluded, ya)
Claypot briyani...The best! Can't remember the price, RM8  or not more than that
Our meals!

For no reason, i can't seem to find my other photos of the restaurant. Do be patients while i ransack my files Patience Of A Saint

OVERNIGHT AT THE BERBER DESERT CAMP

Selepas lunch, kami teruskan lagi perjalanan yang panjang sampai lah petang.  Look at the view.. Magnificent!  We crossed the High Atlas Mou...
