My Istanbul Winter Trip: Sekitar Kabatas & Taksim

Jom sambong citer.. Sorry for the long delay... Too many things to do...

Anyway, Kabatas is the last stop of the tram yg dr airport tu... It's still at the European side of Istanbul. People stop here if they want to go to Dolmabahce Palace and also hopping on the ferry to Prince's Island. After the Bosphorus Trip, we hopped on the tram and headed to Kabatas (Eminonu to Kabatas). Same price, 1.90TL per ride.  Jalan2 tepi laut. Best.. Eminonu mcm ada bau2 ikan sikit tp kat sini x ada...Jom layan gambar...

Here is where u can catch the ferry to Prince's Island. Price: 5TL one way.
Earliest departure: 9.30am, last: 6.15pm. U can also catch the Bosphorus
Cruise to Anadolu from here.

We didn't go in. Dh petang, so rasa mcm malas plak... No camera
is allowed inside the palace. We chose to enter Topkapi instead.

From Kabatas Tram Station, u can catch the funicular to Taksim

Taksim is the only place in Istanbul which can be reached by funicular. In case u don't know what funicular is, it is similar to the one at Penang and HK (victoria peak). But this one is indoor. The price from Kabatas is 0.75lira (harga istanbulkad). Bnyk restaurants, shops and hotels kat sini.. Many people gathered here as it is considered the heart of modern Istanbul.

Kt Taksim ni memang famous selalu ada demo and incidents. Kebetulan masa kami p tu pon, mereka baru nak start demo. But, there was no chaos whatsoever, just a normal calm Syrian demonstration. At least, merasalah jugak experience tu... Mula2 x ramai, lama2 makin ramai org. Polis dah siap jaga tp mereka cuma standby aja...

Kat Taksim jugaklah kita boleh naik Bas Havas untuk ke Sabiha Gokchen Airport (Istanbul's 2nd airport after Atarturk). Harga 12TL one way. Kalau u berdiri kat Taksim Square tu memang boleh terus nampak bas2 Havas tu ada banyak dkt station bas. Havas also goes to Attartuk Airport with 10TL one way.

Oklah i will stop here. Nothing much about Taksim and Kabatas. I didn't stay long at Taksim...Tangkap2 gmbr sikit, pegi tmpt lain pulak. Later i will tell u about Topkapi Palace in my next entry. Till then...Happy New Year 2013 to everyone ( x sempat pon nak buat post khas for new year...)
