Let's Bali...(part 1)

Bali...the island of Gods...memang sangat indah sekali....Good weather, charming people (4 a sum), plenty of places to visit..etc.etc..there is something for everyone... My trip to Bali was a few months ago...As usual, i travelled with my hubby and my 2 kids... Got promo tickets with AA...RM600 for 4 (return)

Departed from LCC and arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport at twilight... I'd booked a supir back in Malaysia..cilaka sama itu supir..die x datang pulak...(alasannya laptopnya hilang and everything was missing)..alasan...email kan ada...x pasal2..aku pulak kene marah dengan laki aku..ceh...! so, we decided to take a cab to the hotel..dah la hotel jaoh kat Candidasa nun... Ni semua SGIVC punya pasal pulak..gave me hotel which was very far away... hai...1st day dah mcm2 masalah...but that's about it..the rest of the days were superb and splendid...la..la..la.. Anyway, at the airport we met another supir who gave us his name card..he gave us a very good deal..so, we promised to contact him later...

Farah in the plane.
Subhanallah!
On the way to the hotel, we stopped by at Mcdonald to buy dinner.

The journey to Rama Candidasa took us 1 1/2 hours. The road was winding and small, no highway... Since it was dark, so, i couldn't really see from outside the cab. The cabby was friendly and told us more about Bali. At last, we arrived at Rama Candidasa...When i stepped onto the pavement at the lobby, my anger melt... The hotel was so welcoming and soothing.  The ambiance was relaxing and cooling. Checking in was fast, we  got free welcoming drinks..siap dapat bunga kalung kat leher lagik (1st time ada hotel buat cam tu kat kami).. padahal bukan hotel mahal sangat pon..hik..hik...
At the lobby, with the flowers around the neck
The bed
When i opened my window the next morning...beautiful!
Ini mi pop... makanan ruji bila lapar2 di Bali..It's not easy to fin Halal food in Bali...
The next morning, we planned just to ronda2 dekat2 candidasa...we got free round trip to the village of candidasa...It's a small fishing village but i could see some boutiques and cyber cafes..may be they are built because of the number of tourists coming here...from time to time, more and more tourists especially the senior westerners prefer to stay at this are as it is more relaxing and less busy compared to Kuta and Nusa. Anyway, jom kita snap2 gmbar dulu sebelum jalan2....

This way to our room
Farah modelling at the lobby

Classic!

Bukan main lagik model kecik nih bergambar...

bosan menunggu adik posing2
The driver suggested we went to Thirtagangga and Amlapura...Kami ikot aja since we didn't have any plans. Daripada free ride to candidasa, driver tu ketok kami 300 000 rp untuk jalan2 4 jam... Ikut hati i, x mo aja, baik lepak2 explore hotel , ada mcm2 blh explore...spa, sea, hadn weaving class, etc... but hubby insisted nak jugak p jalan2 sekitar..ikot je la...
On the way to Thirtagangga..Padi saujana mata memandang...cantik sungguh...
Our friendly neighbour...
Sebelum p thirtagangga water palace tu, kita singgah jap kat Tanah Ujung Water Lily Park..lengang je tempat ni..adala 2-3 org putih tengah ambik2 gmbar pemandangan...a few locals (fishermen i presume) were fixing their net. ada entrance fee untuk foreigners..tp 2-3 posen aja...siap leh kasik diskaun lagik..keh..keh..jom layan gmbar kat water lily park jap...
Dulunya tempat bersemayam raja
Fara spotted a gaggle of geese. She had to run as the geese were getting crazy and
chased her.
Sampai akhirnya...degil lagik...mama kata jngn menyebok dekat angsa2 tuh...
Cantik pemandangan kat sini..too bad my camera is not the high tech type of camera...
Ultaman on the move

Merakam keindahan alam

Tempat rehat2 raja petang2...

Kite plak rehat kat sini
Water lily lake
Then, we stopped by the small town of Amlapura. Nothing special about this town. Small and full of locals... Went into he market, smelly, and went out ...

Next stop would be the Thirtagangga Water Palace...Sampai jugak akhirnya... More or less like the water lily palace but more people come here...  I noticed the architecture of these 2 places were somehow or rather similar... There's a natural spring here and i could see the locals were happily swimming...  According to the story, the Raja built himself a private country house here with recreational garden for his personal enjoyment. No wonder i could see the big pond with stepping stones in it...Ada air pancut dan patong2 yg kadang2 mengerikan jugak... I wonder how this place will look like at night...creepy! Anyway, My children played with the stepping stones happily and they really enjoyed tiptoeing here n there.. Kids will always be kids..They will play and play and play wherever they go...

The pond as the background
Fish in the pond

Nice view...Picturesque!
Tip...toe...tip...toe...
Jngn jatoh sudah ye....

Si Becky, penjaga pintu..We tried to chase Becky away, but she was so
tame and just ignored us...

Lepas lepak2 kat water palace...it's makan time! Memang sedap tempat nih...tasty n cheap..We already told the driver, we wanted muslim food..nice n tasty. So, he brought us to this place called Pondok Mina...Memang sedap betol ikan die...mereka panggil ikan garapu...yg hairannya kedai ni..ikan ni aja jual.. Mula2 kami nak share aja ikan tu, pasal besar sangat..but then, when we observed all the other tables, all of them ordered one fish each....(kuat betol org Bali makan ikan..)..so, just to save face, we ordered separate dishes for ourselves... When we arrived, i noticed a lot of government officers, most probably immigration officers (by looking at their uniform) were having their lunch there. Ada jugak yg bertudung...so, memang confirmla tempat muslim... Let's check out the photos, people!

While waiting for the food, the kids started drawing..Just bought their drawing
tools at Amlapura.

This was mine! Goreng and at the side was the pecal.. The pecal was so nice, i
ordered another plate of pecal on its own..It was spicy...
Hubby's fish...Ala2 3 rasa
The famous teh botol...I don't know why many people like it, but
I, on the other hand, does not fancy teh botol... It has one kind
of smell and taste which i dislike and make me wanna puke..yuckks!!!

Ni dia kedainya...

Guess i'll stop here... Will cont in another entree..i think this one is already too long...
