MY DAYS IN TOKYO

Narita Airport at night
Harga 1000 yen. Faris n Farah half price. Mula2 susah jugak nak jumpa bus tu coz pekerja mereka pon x tau kewujudan bus tu. tp nasib ade sorang tu tau, dan bawa kami ke bus stop Narita Access. Mula2 kluar central exit C1  or south exit S3 dan kena naik dekat southwing platform 31 (platform ujung sekali). Ini dekat terminal 1 tau... kalau terminal2 lain plak caranya.  Duration: 1 hour plus. one thing about Narita airport, ia lebih jauh dari haneda. Bas ni bawak kite either to ginza or tokyo station (yaesu exit). Belik tiket dalam bas terus.

Sebenarnya, ada banyak cara dari Narita nak ke central tokyo such as Narita Express (N'ex), skyliner, T-Cat dan mcm2 lah  tp narita access ni antara yg paling murah. tapi masa kami di sana. T-cat tengah buat promo 50%. So, instead of 3000 yen one way, dapat 1500 yen shj for adult. Skrg lagi best, 1000 yen aja (limited time). Tokyo Shuttle bus paling murah tp kena belik tiket kat tempat lain pulak. Tokyo Shuttle Bus shares platform dng Narita Access, platform 31.

Ini bas yang kami naik.  1000 yen
Airport limo ni stesennya sangat dekat dengan Kurumi
Mansion iaitu Suitengumae Station. From Suitengumae,
From Suitengumae,
x ada teksi nak ambik bawak ke kerumi coz too near.

Tokyo shuttle bus. 900 yen

Platform 31: narita access n tokyo
shuttle bus share the same platform.
Disebabkan dah malam, lps tu bawak bag bagai,  kami pon naik cab untuk ke kurumi. Charge dalam 1000 yen per cab.

We stayed at Kurumi Mansion when in Tokyo. So far, it was the cheapest and fulfilled all my requirements for the stay. I paid approximately RM230 per night for a triple room complete with cooking facility in the room.

Yang ni katil singlenya.. pintu tu ke bilik air. taken from

sampai  x sempat amik gambar bilik. Tp memang sebijik la gmbar ni dngn
bilik saya.
Suitengumae Station, Hanzomon line
Since kami sampai malam, office dah tutup tp Mr Yasuo of  Kurumi Mansion dah tinggalkan nota dekat office dan kunci dalam bilik. So, payment i settle kan esok. Why did we choose Kurumi Mansion? 1st: it was the cheapest family room that i could find. 2nd: it had attached personal kitchen in the room (a must!). 3rd: ada washing room (yaayyy...boleh basuh baju) and it's free..... sabon pon provided. 4th: dekat dngan pasaraya Aeon, senang belik groceries untuk masak2.... Toilet agak kecik sikit tapi ok lah..bukan nak mandi lama2 sangat pon, sejukkk...Orang asia mcm kita ni x besar mana, so kira muat la tu...

Some people say u dont hve to cook during yr vacation holiday but to me, i enjoy cooking. 1st, i feel that finding decent halal food in Tokyo is quite challenging. 2nd: i dnt hve that much yen to spend on food at eating outlets. 3rd: x buang masa nk carik tmpt mkn... that's my personal opinion on the matter... but some people love to try different taste of cuisine from different parts of the world. So, ikot la...

kita selalu belik instant rice ni kan? If we buy at   Family Mart or 7e, the price is100 yen per pack but if we buy at Aeon Supermarket, 6 packets, baru 399 yen... Nampak x beza harga? (x tau la ape mslh gmbr ni...:(

Sardin grg, cabbage, poached eggs with soy sauce and sup suhon n pucok..he..he... Jom makan! Tak tau knp gmbr ni x blh kecik...

Sepanjang di tokyo, main mode of transportation was train. We used our icoca card yg belik di Airport Kansai.  Kami banyak naik metro masa kat Tokyo. Metro paling dekat dengan Kurumi is Suitengumae Station (Hanzomon line) dan lagi satu Monzen Nakacho station (Tozai Line).  Dua2 ni under Tokyo Metro. Ada 2 jenis line yang dominan kat Tokyo, one is Tokyo Metro Line and the other one is Toei Line. Ada banyak, bayangkan subways kat London, haa... up sikit dari tu ya... in fact up bnyk...hehe... but trust me, once u're there, u can understand the system in no time. Berselirat but very systematic. Kami jugak naik other private lines lika Yamanote, Keiyo Line and Rinkai line.

Kali ni dah pandai, so malas nak naik bus, naik train from Suitengumae, tukar di Oshiage naik Narita/Sky Access line. Dalam 1 jam sampai airport. 1300 yen, faris farah 1/2 price. Kalu x, kena byr double plok... Itula, bila kita nak pegang, die mo pegang sendiri....lepas tu bising, katanya jatuh terselit celah escalator,,,ntah betol ntah tidak budak ni....

Whatever it is, even though we have hyperdia to help us navigate the journey/route,  I still  feel asking the station master is the best option to save yourself from getting lost. Sometimes, they even have the faster and cheaper route for us. It happened to us a few times. Route station master lagi pantas dan murah. and sometimes, the trains and routes look pretty similar.. so,tnya aja station master, kompom betol.  Kami hanya silap 2x masa di Jepun.. itu kes bodoh sombong x mo tnya station master ler tu...huhuhu... kesilapan kecil aja mcm silap direction  naik train and naik local train instead of express train.

Sampai sini aje coretan saya...lps ni kita sambong dngn tmpt2 yg kmi p masa di Tokyo... till then...

  4. Good afternoon,
Wondering would it be cheaper to get the Japan Rail Pass? Which is better to travel around with ?

    1. Hi elaine.. it depends on where u r heading to. . If yr only focus is tokyo, then u dnt need the jr rail pass. However, if u wanna go to places all over japan, then u can consider japan rail pass. But it's not the cheapest option, though...

    2. We are flying in to Osaka (4d/3n) then Kyoto (4d/3n) and finally out from Tokyo (6d/5n).
      What's the budget per day?

    3. Ooh... then u can opt for jr or u cn also buy airline's tickets Or u cn also go to tokyo on overnight willer bus. Jr would be more convenient of course but pricey. There are local trains as well. Cheap but will take longer time. Budget will depend on u. Most of the expenses flow for transport n food. i stayed in an aprtmnt when in kyoto. Cost me about rm300 ++ per day for 4. Will blog about it later.
