KOREAN WAR MUSEUM

After a hot sunny day at Nami yesterday, the next day we went to Korean War Museum. I had been to Vietnam War museum be4 and I thought it was superb but this one was much much bigger and super fun than the one at hcm. If u r into museum n stuff, do not miss a visit here. Frankly speaking, I can spend the whole day here to learn the history tp nanti ada yg tarik muka kedut plak nanti. Anyway, x menyesallah dtg sini..dah la free..he..he... Opening hours: 9 pagi - 6 ptg..tp entrance pukul 5 dah tutup. Closed every Monday.

Anyway...the museum is large. Very large..a 3 storey building with plenty of army vehicles outside. What's interesting is that u cn go inside the vehicles..bolehla verangan2... cuaca hri ni mendung..so, agak sejuk jugakla. .. sesekali hujan rintik2.

Exit 12. Jalan ke depan sikit, terus jumpa war muzium.

Samgakji Station (Subway Lines 4, 6), Exit 12. 15 minutes from Hongik.
Jom tngk2 sekitar museum..oh ya.. museum ni FREE ya.. dn terbahagi kpd bbrp bahagian.  Another interesting thing about this museum is its interactivity.  Siap ada simulator mcm 3d desperado kat sentosa tu.. lg best rasanya dr desperado... desperado tu I x rasa apa2.. Tau2 dh habis...

The statue of brothers: merupakan 2 beradik yg telah lama terpisah...
Akhirnya setelah berapa lama, berjumpa semula....

Another Monument

Since it's a free museum, so u will see plenty of kids on excursions

War vehicles

Other war vehicles displayed at the courtyard.

Some of the war vehicles that we had played with. Play? Sorry.. can't
think of other word at the moment.
This is a real South Korean battleship (warship Chansuri) that has been repaired
and renovated for the display purposes.  Can u see the dented holes?
Those were real bullet holes.
Inside the renovated battleship. Top left: There were  presentations
of how the enemies (North Korea) attacked South Korea via the sea. You
can see moving ships and explosions.
The belongings of the soldier who died in the 1990s war. Most of
the soldiers who died were very young. They also displayed the
history of the soldiers since they were young until they became the arm forces.

Jom masuk dalam muzium....

This way to the main building..Peace Plaza kalau x silap namanya.

Busts of National Heroes: Those who didn't survive the war

This one was something like the lights and sound show at Malacca

Watching a documentary
Ready for the simulator. The story revolved around a soldier who wanted to
escape. Kitalah soldadu tu... Yg ni mesti masuk...Best! 15 people
per session every 1/2 an hour.

This painting caught my eyes. Vivid!
This passage leads to a weapon chamber (3rd floor). This one tributes to
Vietnamese War kalau x silap.

Souvenir shop
Sungguh besarlah museum ni...x sempat habis semua cerok pon. Lepas ni nak belik souvenir plak...

Expense for this trip:
Subway to Samgakji : KRW 1050 @ RM3.20

Hmmm...itu ajelah... belik air kotak kat vending machine muzium tu dngn dak farah mkn cheese kek kat cafe muzium x kiralah...
