Gyeongbokgung Palace

The entrance to Geongbokgung Palace.

This day was a bit colder than all the other days. It was cloudy and sometimes it drizzled. Today, we planned to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace. There are a few palaces in Seoul which u can visit them all of u have ample time. Unlike us who had very limited time in Seoul, we had to choose only one palace that fit us all.  From Hongik, we took the subway line 2 to Gyeongbokgung Station. Transit at Euljiro 3. Once u are at Gyeongbokgung station,  exit at exit 5. U won't miss the palace as there many signs directing u to the palace. The fare is 1050 won from Hongik to Gyeongbokgung (about 27 minutes).

Gyeongbokgung Station.
Entrance fee to the palace is 3000 won. Kids half the price. Ticket for Gyeongbokgung Palace is also valid at the National Palace Museum and the National Folk Museum. That's the main reason why i chose this palace as we could go to several museums later on. Bear in mind that Gyeongbokgung Palace is close every Tuesday. U can use your Integrated Ticket of Palaces here too.

At the ticket counter juga ada disediakan money changer dan juga
tourist info centre. I rented the audio guide player. Since it was drizzling at
that time, i forgot to snap any photos of the player. Harga dah x ingat la...

Jom masuk!
King's Quarters (if i'm not mistaken)

Tinggi2 betol mereka nih...

Change of the Guard
After change of the guard, we went to the costume area to try out the Hanbok. It's free but very limited people can get the chance to try them. I think about 10 people per session. The fitting session starts every 10 minutes after the change of the guard. What we did was, asking Farah to queue at the costume area while we went to watch the change of the guard. Later, I replaced Farah while she went and snapped some photos with the guards. The costumes were new and smell good. Ingatkan bau busuk coz ramai dah try2 tp wangi2 je.. mcm baru basuh... They have variety of sizes for all ages and genders...

Look at the crowd. We didn't Q for this session. We queued for the
next one where Farah was the 1st 'customer'..he..he..

The result...

Everyone is given 10 minutes to model, snap photos,
berangan sambil memakai hanbok tu...
Comel2 mama...
Sapa lambat...inilah jawabnyerrr...

To be cont...

Tidak menyesal pasal selain dapat memakai hanbok for free, so coincidentally the day my friends and I went was Free. =) Seronok yah nampak satu family Farikica dapat memakai hanbok sama-sama
